That filtering is the value of this course. Anyone can list what the tooling does; the useful part is knowing what survives contact with a real workflow.
The training is small and live. Both cost more to deliver than a recording, and both are why people leave with something running instead of inspired.
Exercises on a fake project teach you the fake project. Everything here runs against something you own, which is the only version that survives Monday.
A clever system you have to supervise is a second job. The material biases hard toward things that keep working when nobody is watching.
Where a free resource is genuinely better, you get told. Trust built by overselling collapses the first time someone checks.

Claude Academy is independent, and not operated, endorsed or reviewed by Anthropic. Anthropic publishes their own free courses and documentation, which are good and you should use them. This is a different product: live, small, and applied to your own work.
Thesis
Recording this once would be cheaper to make and far more profitable to sell. Here is the argument for not doing that.
Every fact in this curriculum is public and free, and the documentation is good. Treating information as the constraint is why so much AI training changes nothing.
The constraint is the distance between reading that something is possible and having it work in your environment, where the paths differ and the permissions are wrong. That is where most people quietly stop.
Two years ago there was a chat box, and using it well meant writing a decent prompt. Now there is a terminal agent, a desktop surface, an SDK, hosted agents, and an API underneath all of it.
Most people learned whichever surface they stumbled into first and assumed it was the whole product. The expensive mistakes come from that: building by hand on one surface what another handles natively.
The realistic pattern for a busy operator is twenty minutes here and a blog post there, which produces a folder of half-configured tools and no working system.
Self-paced courses mostly fail to fix that, for a reason unrelated to quality: without a fixed date, skipping it never costs anything. The scheduled date is a real part of what you are buying.
Training on a sample project teaches you the sample project. Turn to your own repository, with its history and undocumented assumptions, and the mapping falls apart.
So the exercises run against what you own. Twenty people arrive with twenty different environments, which makes the sessions harder to run and is the only reason anything survives the week.
We could print one. It costs nothing and would probably help conversion. We do not, because attendance certificates are worthless and everyone knows how they are earned.
What is worth having is a setup that still runs the week after, something you shipped while someone experienced watched, and the judgment to spot confident nonsense. None of that fits on a certificate.

Most companies now pay for AI tooling and assume capability arrives with the licence. It does not, and the gap shows up as uneven adoption: two people getting real leverage, everyone else using it as a better search box.
